Participating in Project Green Fleet is designed to be as easy as possible. Here’s how it works:
Fleet Review
-
Project Green Fleet staff works with you to collect basic information about your school buses
-
Project Green Fleet provides your fleet information to one of our experienced equipment vendors.
-
Equipment vendors will analyze the fleet and determine what equipment is needed
-
Fleets review and sign the Project Green Fleet operating agreement before installation plan is developed and equipment is ordered
Equipment Orders and Installation
-
Project Green Fleet and the equipment vendor work with you to develop an installation plan that meets your needs.
-
You can choose to have installation done by trained installers, or have your own staff trained to complete installations.
-
Equipment order is placed. It takes between 4-6 weeks for equipment to be manufactured and shipped.
-
Installation takes approximately 3-4 hours per bus.
Emission Reduction and Recognition
-
Project Green Fleet pays for installation, installation training (if applicable) and pollution control equipment once installations are complete.
-
Emission reductions are calculated for your fleet and provided to you for your records
-
Project Green Fleet can work with you to spread the word through press releases, events or presentations.
